May 25, 2017

Here are the children reading a story in their letterbooks.  They absolutely love the books and find it hard to wait for the next one.  The class did well with learning how to read.  Thank you to all the parents for your help and cooperation throughout the entire school year.  Also, thank you for sending your child to our school.

Have a wonderful summer!

As you can see they are all very interested in reading the story.

Church Dioramas

The kindergarten children are learning more about church by learning  the names of the different objects in church.  They learned the following names- altar, ambo(lectern), presidential or presider chair, the processional cross, stained glass windows, the tabernacle, host, wine, sanctuary light, baptismal font, pews and kneelers.  Each child was able to paint a shoe box and make their own church.  We had a lot of fun and learned a lot.

Digital Citizenship

This week the children are having lessons to help them make safe and smart decisions online.  We have discussed  safety rules; what information is considered private and should not be shared.  We also learned about e-mails.  Please refer to the sheets sent home in your child's folder.
